SIGRIST photometer at an early hour
1946 The first SIGRIST photometer, a turbidity measurement instrument designed for continuous monitoring of beer filtration, was developed, built and sold by Dr. Ing. Willy Sigrist (March 21, 1907 – August 1, 1988).
1949 Founding of the Dr. Ing. W. Sigrist Measuring Instruments Company, Ennetbürgen. Serial production of photometers was launched.
1951 The first absorption measuring instrument was sold.
1956 The sales company Sigrist-Photometer AG was founded.
1968 The first dust monitor and the first fluorescencemeter were sold.
1968 The subsidiary Sigrist-Photometer GmbH for sales and customer services in southern Germany was founded.
1976 The Dr. Ing. W. Sigrist Measuring Instruments Company, Ennetbürgen, was transferred into a public corporation: Dr. Sigrist AG, Ennetbürgen.
1978 All shares of Dr. Sigrist AG and Sigrist-Photometer AG went from Dr. W. Sigrist over to Vereinigung Bizun (Bizun Association).
1980 Launch of a compact instrument series.
1996 Launch of the instrument C series.
1996 Certification of the quality management system in compliance with EN ISO 9001.
1998 Launch of the special purpose instrument series: the entire product portfolio was renewed between 1998 and 2005.
2002 Certification of the quality management system in compliance with EN ISO 9001:2000.
