Switch-over ColorPlus to ColorPlus 2


As already informed, effective April 1, 2014, the current ColorPlus familiy will be replaced by the ColorPlus 2. The change concerns the operating concept; instead of the exisiting SIREL control unit, the SICON / SICON M will be used. All the other components and accessories remain unchanged.

The existing documentation is currently updated and will be published on the web once they become available.

 

For the ColorPlus Ex, the existing control units SIREL and SIREL Ex remain available.  

ColorPlus 2 O3 Water
The Ozone meter for gases measures the ozone concentration according to standard DIN 19627 and the IOA (International Ozone Association) at a wavelength of 254nm. According to these standards, the extinction coefficient is 3024 l/mol cm. Therefore, the ozone measurement can be regarded as an absolute measurement requiring no calibration with ozone. The special measuring cell with a path-length of 100mm allows measuring ozone in ultra pure water in the ppb range. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. An internal data logger allows recalling and displaying measured data from the last 32 days. A variety of analogue and digital interfaces allows smooth system integration and control.
ColorPlus 2 O3 Gas
The Ozone meter for gases measures the ozone concentration according to standard DIN 19627 and the IOA (International Ozone Association) at a wavelength of 254nm. According to these standards, the extinction coefficient is 3024 l/mol cm. Therefore, the ozone measurement can be regarded as an absolute measurement requiring no calibration with ozone. Special measuring cells with different path-lengths cover measuring ranges for low as well as high concentrations. The concentration readings (e.g. in g/m3) are valid for the pressures and temperatures prevailing during measurement. For the conversion to standard conditions, an external pressure and temperature sensor can be connected to the operating unit, die calculation is then automatically done within the instrument. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. An internal data logger allows recalling and displaying measured data from the last 32 days. A variety of analogue and digital interfaces allows smooth system integration and control.
ColorPlus 2 Bypass
The ColorPlus measures the colour/absorbance online at up to three different wavelengths. The bypass measuring cell has been specifically designed for applications within the water industry. Depending on the configuration it allows measuring DOC (UV absorption) and colour (Hazen) simultaneously and to compensate turbidity. Soiling of the flow cell is measured by means of a compensation glass in the interior of the flow cell. The effect of cell soiling is greatly reduced internally; constant and precise measured values are guaranteed. The user is alerted if the cell has to be cleaned. The cover of the flow cell can be opened without tools and allows simple access for cleaning the flow cell. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. ColorPlus 2 In-line
The ColorPlus measures the colour/absorbance online at up to three different wavelengths in the UV and visible range, also combined. Turbidity can be compensated at the same time by selecting an appropriate wavelength. The modular design of the instrument enables to cover various applications by selecting the most suitable measuring cell. In many cases, a standard housing like e.g. Varivent® is used. Alternatively, custom-specific flow cells in different materials and designs are available. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. An internal data logger allows recalling and displaying measured data from the last 32 days. A variety of analogue and digital interfaces allows smooth system integration and control.
ColorPlus Ex In-line
The ColorPlus is built to accommodate up to three different light sources (UV and visible range) for the measurement of color, DOC and concentrations. By use of the dichromatic measurement at separate wavelengths the turbidity can be compensated. Measurements are performed inline or in bypass cells, the selection of materials for the cell and housing depends on the requirements. A version with flameproof encapsulation is offered for installations in areas requiring explosion protection.
ColorPlus Ex Bypass
